Negru de Drăgășani is a rare Romanian variety that nearly disappeared during the communist era and was revived in the early 1990s. Think about the structure of Cabernet Franc, the subtle spiciness of Syrah, and the elegance and finesse of Pinot Noir. This is Negru de Drăgășani one of Oltenia’s most distinctive wine treasures. Olterra Winery, rooted in the Oltenia Region, draws inspiration from local folklore and its rich cultural heritage. The label pays tribute to the area’s ancient past, featuring motifs inspired by prehistoric ceramics known as LUTURI, a symbolic reflection of tradition, craftsmanship, and place.
